Chen, Zih-Rong

Trust in Nature Foundation(TNF) Director, Research and Policy Affairs Department

Since joining the Taiwan Environmental Information Association in 2014 to investigate marine debris and advocate for policy changes, I’ve gone from picking up trash on beaches to traveling abroad for the cause. Unknowingly, the years of “not sticking to my proper job” are about to surpass one-third of my life. Having visited landfills in various counties and cities, I feel that not only does the end of science lead to metaphysics, but environmental issues do too.

貓魚小姐的海洋生活

Hi, I’m Min, a freediving instructor and dive shop owner. There was a time when I struggled with equalization for over a year and a half, facing repeated setbacks. Yet through that journey, I became even more certain of my love for the ocean. That’s why I founded Cat&fish Freediving. For the past ten years, I’ve stayed true to my original intention—to use my own growth and experiences to support those who feel afraid of the water, helping them slowly connect with the sea. Through freediving, I also explore the world, and in the process, rediscover a deeper connection between life and the ocean.
