DRT SHOW Hong Kong Successfully Concludes: Post-Pandemic Dive Industry Thrives!

Organized by LX Development Group Ltd. ,  DRT SHOW Hong Kong 2023 concluded flawlessly on 17 Dec, 2023 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC). The three-day event attracted participation from over a hundred global dive industry exhibitors, with a remarkable attendance of 44,475 visitors.

This edition of the exhibition drew international professional buyers from China, Hong Kong, Macau, Taipei, as well as countries such as Korea, the Philippines, Japan, the United States, Canada, Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand, Australia, Germany, the United Kingdom, the United Arab Emirates, Israel, Vietnam, India, and more. Sponsored by the Hong Kong Tourism Board, the event also gained the highly acclaimed 'HK Goodies' program, receiving unanimous praise.

Dive enthusiasts, whether novices or veterans, found tailored dive equipment and courses, as well as the most comfortable dive resorts and live-aboard operators at DRT SHOW, ensuring every participant could plan the perfect holiday.

The exhibition brought together over twenty renowned domestic and international dive brands, including Scuba System International, Nauticam, Nitescuba, 10Bar, Scubalamp, Kraken Sports, Reanson, Sea Frogs, DIVE&SAIL, Waydoo, Weefine, AOI, X-ADVENTURER, DIVESTAR, Problue, Black Tec Scuba, DIVECICA, GULL, OrcaTorch, PRIDONNA, SKYWOODS, Water-Pro, Jiangsu Yiheng, and Zhuhai Bianfeng, as well as professional dive training systems DIWA, SDI TDI, SSI, etc.

Renowned brands such as GULL, Scuba System International, Problue, Divestars, and AOI publicly showcased their latest products at DRT SHOW, enhancing brand exposure and marketing efforts, showcasing their strength in research and technological innovation.

The exhibition also included numerous dive resorts and dive tourism operators, offering comprehensive dive training courses and exclusive dive tourism discounts. The diverse and rich content stimulated visitor spending potential, resulting in excellent product marketing and sales outcomes.

During the exhibition, 19 professional speakers conducted over 20 enriching lectures, including underwater. Photographers Lin Qing, Zhang Fan, and Chris Cheung, director of AIDA and Hong Kong Freediving Association, as well as tourism consul Ireneo Reyes from the Tourism Promotion Board Philippines in Shanghai. They shared insights into dive industry trends and personal experiences, aiming to help more domestic dive brands go global through the experience sharing of world-class equipment brands and policy exchanges with relevant national sports project units.

Furthermore, the Ocean Stars UW Photo Gallery showcased underwater photography works, raising public awareness of marine conservation. The Ocean Stars UW Photo Gallery attracted numerous underwater photographers, with 30 selected best pictures displayed at the Photo Gallery and online. Kenze Leung's work 'The Last Minute Dance' won the on-site popularity award and received Macro Wide Angle Lens 1 sponsored by Nauticam.

The Ocean Culture Fair brought together various marine-related cultural and creative products, highlighting the passion of our vendors for the ocean and their ultimate pursuit of art. The Scuba Museum boasts an extensive collection, thanking ocean enthusiasts for providing vintage diving items, allowing us to witness the growth of the diving industry.

Despite the impact of the pandemic, DRT SHOW returned to Hong Kong after a four-year hiatus, serving as the first dive exhibition post-lockdown. Domestic and international manufacturers collaborated to offer discounts and significantly enhance product quality, seizing post-pandemic opportunities. As Asia's leading dive exhibition brand, DRT SHOW will continue to be held in cities such as Kuala Lumpur, Shanghai, Taipei, Shenzhen, Beijing, and Manila, promoting the development of the dive industry in the Asia-Pacific region and creating a professional platform for dive sports exchange.
