Divers’ Festival: 2024 DRT SHOW Taiwan Returns to Taipei Flora EXPO Dome

Following last year’s grand finale, Diving Resort Travel Expo Taiwan (DRT SHOW Taiwan) is set to return in grand style to the Taipei Flora EXPO Dome from 19th to 21^st April, 2024. This year’s exhibition has attracted exhibitors from Taiwan, China, Japan, South Korea, the United Kingdom, Canada, the United States, Indonesia, Thailand, Singapore, the Philippines, Seychelles, and other locations. The proportion of international brands has increased by 25% compared to last year, allowing visitors to access information on international brands without leaving the country.

As the No.1 brand diving expo in Asia, DRT SHOW has been committed to branding, professionalisation and internationalisation by serving as a communication platform for manufacturers, service providers and brand owners who want to keep abreast of the latest market trends. This year’s DRT SHOW Taiwan has invited the Philippines Department of Tourism, Okinawa Convention & Visitors Bureau (OCVB), Palau Visitors Authority (PVA), Indonesian Economic and Trade Office, and Penghu National Scenic Area Headquarters, Tourism Administration, MOTC to provide visitors with rich information on local diving tourism. In addition to the diverse exhibits, the DRT SHOW Taiwan also offers a rich variety of activities. There are two stages on-site, hosting nearly 30 seminars by professional speakers covering topics such as underwater photography, diving tourism, freediving, and diving equipment. This year, the organiser has arranged a theme on disabled diving to delve deeper into the topic and encourage disabled individuals interested in diving to participate.

To promote the beauty of the underwater world, the event will once again host the ‘Ocean Stars UW Photo Gallery’, attracting submissions from hundreds of underwater photographers. The selected 80 works will be exhibited physically and online during the exhibition, with a live voting activity for the Best Popularity Award. The most popular photographer voted by visitors will receive a prize provided by CREST.

Furthermore, in support of original culture, the exhibition will feature a special ‘Ocean Culture Fair’, selling various marine-related cultural and creative products. The marine market at this year’s exhibition brings together over 30 handmade brands, not only giving new life to marine debris but also stimulating people’s awareness of environmental protection. In terms of environmental awareness, several non-profit organisations at the exhibition will provide conservation knowledge, including the Taiwan Environmental Information Association’s exhibition on marine debris, showcasing impressive achievements in marine waste collection to further stimulate public environmental awareness.

The event also features the ‘Diver’s Marathon’ stamp collection activity, where participants only need to complete tasks at designated booths with their tickets to collect stamps and receive limited-edition exquisite gifts. The ‘Lucky Draw’ held on weekends is one of the most anticipated activities for visitors, as purchasing tickets for admission gives them a chance to win the latest diving equipment, marine accessories, and other valuable prizes.
